  • A state-of-the-art, family-friendly entertainment environment located on 320 acres in Huron Township, Mich., near Detroit Metro Airport.
  • In addition to traditional horse racing, facilities will include areas for picnics and tailgating (Phase II), equestrian and horse-jumping events (Phase II), and opportunities to see the horses up close.
  • Phase I and Phase II project will include a three-story 60,000 sq. ft. clubhouse that includes private suites and boxes; a 4,000-seat grandstand; a 12,000 sq. ft. corporate pavilion, an 8,000 sq. ft. covered patio; 150 seat dining room; 30 barns; a 100-room grooms’ quarters; jockey quarters; and, 1,200 horse stalls.
  • Will include two tracks, a one-mile dirt track (Phase I) and 7/8-mile turf (grass) track (Phase II).
  • Live racing begins on July 18, 2008, with completion of the Corporate Pavilion and the dirt track. Premium temporary seats, similar to thoseused at The Breeders’ Cup World Championships, Ryder Cup and Super Bowl XL, will allow racing while construction continues.
  • Sixty-three days of live racing are scheduled for 2008. The season concludes November 2.
  • Total seating capacity, upon completion, is estimated at 8,000.
  • Corporate Pavilion will be open daily for year-round simulcasting from horse tracks around the country.
  • Is Michigan’s only thoroughbred racetrack, following the closing of Great Lakes Downs in Muskegon in 2007.
  • Will offer opportunities for community schools and organizations to encourage school field trips and special tours to widen equine appreciation, as well as educational seminars and classes.
