Felicia (Lisa) Campbell is Chairman and CEO of Pinnacle Race Course. Lisa and her husband, Jerry, operate Campbell Stables in Grass Lake, Michigan, where they breed and train thoroughbred race horses. The Campbell’s were named the Michigan Thoroughbred Horse Owners of the Year in 2005 by the Michigan Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association.
Lisa Campbell has worked in the thoroughbred horse industry throughout her adult life. She has been a trainer, farm manager and owner. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Michigan Thoroughbred Owners & Breeders Association.
Jerry D. Campbell
Founder
Jerry Campbell continues his life-long love of thoroughbred horses and horse racing as an investor in Pinnacle Race Course. Campbell and his wife, Lisa, operate Campbell Stables in Grass Lake, Mich., where they breed and train thoroughbred race horses. The Campbell’s were named the Michigan Thoroughbred Horse Owners of the Year in 2005 by the Michigan Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association.
Campbell is Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of CNBS Financial Group, Inc., a bank holding company of HomeBanc N.A., headquartered in Tampa, Florida. He previously served as Chairman of the Board of Citizens Republic Bancorp Inc. and Chairman of the Board of Citizens Wealth Management. Campbell also previously held the position of Chairman of the Board of Republic Bancorp Inc. since it was organized, in addition to serving as the company’s Chief Executive Officer from April 1986 to January 2000. From April 1986 to January 1996, he also served as President of Republic.
Campbell’s background includes extensive involvement in higher education. He taught at Wayne State University, serving as an instructor of finance, banking and investment courses. Campbell also held a position on the Board of Trustees of Central Michigan University for 12 years, serving as Chairman of the Board for a four-year term. He has also contributed to the University of Michigan by serving on the Dean’s Visiting Committee for the Business School.
Campbell employs his business expertise through service on numerous boards of directors. He is on the Board of Directors of Magna Entertainment Corp., a public company that operates 15 horse racing tracks throughout the United States, and is also on the Star Tickets Plus Board of Directors, a Grand Rapids company that operates a national ticketing business. Campbell received the Michigan Entrepreneur of the Year Award from Inc. Magazine in 1993.
Michael E. McInerney
President
Michael McInerney is a principal investor and President of Pinnacle Race Course. McInerney’s successful experience in launching new business enterprises has contributed a solid foundation to lead the development and daily operations of Pinnacle Race Course.
Before joining Pinnacle Race Course, McInerney served as President and CEO of Becker Ventures, a private investment firm with assets in the real estate, hospitality, industrial, and service sectors. Throughout McInerney’s tenure, Becker Ventures’ holdings included approximately 50 properties with 7 million square feet of office, industrial and commercial real estate throughout the country. Becker Ventures also held investments in engineering, software and aviation companies, as well as equity funds and stocks.
McInerney has also served as President and CEO of Becker Group, an automotive supplier of interior and exterior components and systems. He acquired the company in 1998 and subsequently recruited, developed and supervised the company’s management teams in the United States and Europe. McInerney has been directly responsible for numerous acquisition and merger transactions as well as the structuring and management of numerous partnerships in his business roles. Prior to his arrival at Becker, McInerney engaged in the private practice of law in a Detroit business law firm, concentrating on corporate finance, acquisitions and mergers, and general business law.
McInerney received his law degree from the Detroit College of Law and his Bachelor of General Studies degree from the University of Michigan. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit and Bloomfield Hills Country Club.
